Well I just got back from Animation on Display and it was as good as I remembered it last year. Originally, my plan was to go to WonderCon, but then they decided to stay in SoCal for another year, the bastards. So, I came up to SF, spent the night with friends and got two cosplays finished just for the weekend. Now, I must finish homework and get some decent sleep tonight.

It Begins
Less than 4 months til FanimeCon. I’ve already got my hotel room set up and the ticket is gonna be the next step. I’m still working on my cosplays for it, but at least I have a pretty finalized list. I’m just glad the new administration got their shit together this year what with this year’s construction and the clusterfuck of last year’s 3+ hour badge line wait....

Costuming: Like Cosplay, But For Other Stuff
So once again I find myself working in a show for SCU (it’s been every other quarter that I’ve been drafted to do something like this). It’s costuming this time, but for a dance show (which was a surprise). The majority of the work is going into creating bits of foam armor for the dance chorus, then sewing metallic fabric over it. Well That Was Unexpected
Me upon realizing RoxannaMeta was shopping at my local Trader Joe’s AT THE EXACT SAME TIME AS ME. Small goddamn world, huh? I’ve never realized how local she and her other friends are until then. We talked for a bit, but we were both blown away at that surprising yet fun coincidence.

Theatre, man
